Data model, roles and tenancy, what talks to what, what must never fail. Written down as decision records before the first line of code.
Laravel: authentication, roles, queues, mail, scheduled jobs, Filament admin screens, multi-tenant where the product needs it.
Server-rendered Blade with Alpine.js by default: no build pipeline to maintain, works on every device. A single-page app only when the product truly needs one.
REST endpoints for apps and partners, webhooks handled safely for retries, an MCP server when AI assistants should use it.
Docker on a server you own, backups, monitoring, TLS; feature tests on every change, CI that blocks red merges, deploy and rollback in one command.
